TFA: 1
In the first chapter I thought it was a little hard to keep the characters straight, because they are so different from the names we have here. Now that Okonkwo beat the Cat in the wrestling contest I think that everyone will look at him different. The Cat has been unbeaten for seven years, so obviously this was an amazing accomplishment. Before, I think that everyone thought less of him because his father was completely different. His father, Unoka, got queasy at the sight of blood. He also wasn't good with money, he has a lot of debts to pay of. I also thought it was weird how Okonkwo was not upset at all about his fathers death.

African names are very different at first, but then you'll get used to it.
You will see that Okonkwo tries to be different than his father through out the entire book. This is what drives him, and will later prove to create a lot of problems in his life.
