I thought hippy was the perfect word for it. It was seriously the exact word I thought of when the book mentioned his church. In the beginning it was mentioned that the Old ones always took a very long time to make decisions, but I didn't expect that to be foreshadowing anything. I am worried that now Mike can make things disappear without anything being wrong, that he might do something bad with his powers. This seems to happen in most stories.

Yes, I agree. He's starting to abuse his powers. Where do the people and objects go? I also do not know why he even created the church in the first place. I know he was fascinated with religion, but I expected to become a follower of another one, not create his own that was not even a religion at all. It was more of just a teaching. What did you think of Ben's reaction to the whole situation? I found it odd that Dawn spent the night with him. This "religion's" morality is off the wall.
