I'm not sure why only Ben disappeared. I did think it was funny though how all of the girls thought that Mike was such an amazing kisser. When Ben came back though, I think he was a little bit jealous of Mike. I always knew he had a thing for Jill, but I never thought he would propose. That was kind of random. I thought that this might turn into something bad by the end of the book.

I agree, I expected Ben's jealousy to turn into rage. I feared that he would have attempted to hurt or even kill Mike for Jill. I was almost happy that Jill declined Ben's proposal. It was obvious at this point that she was growing very fond of Mike.
Religion seems to play a major role in this novel. I do not understand the Fosterite Bishop Digby religion. Why did Mike seem to connect to this so quickly?
